Monday, Oct. 25. Davis, CA. Robot Residence.

A peaceful morning. Bob, Sandy and I took their dog, Frida, to Point Isabel, where she demonstrated great commitment to her duty in guarding a particular gopher hole.

Bob and Bryan and I drove up that night to Davis to play a house show at Robot Residence. About ten creepy cats stared at us from a neighboring yard as we pulled into the place in the dark.

The show was an open mic, but in a house.

This worked out pretty well. Bob and Bryan did a set together.

Sunday, Oct. 24. San Francisco, CA. Amnesia.

Tonight I played a show at Amnesia in San Francisco, a dark bar on Valencia street full of red lights and curiosities.

We are going to be in the Bay Area for four days, the longest we’ve stayed in one place since August. We’re staying with Bob Marsh and Sandy Yolles in Richmond.

Here is a large spider in a shop window near Amnesia.

Here is the real thing near the agave in Bob and Sandy’s yard. These things are everywhere.

The morning after the Amnesia show, Bob and Sandy took us swimming in the citizen-restored Richmond Municipal Natatorium.
