Friday, Oct. 1. Washington, D.C. The Pyramid Atlantic.

We arrived in DC with just enough time to take a short walk near the Washington Monument and get something to eat before the show. Rosemary Krust rode down with us to play a second show together, and we had a great time hanging out with those guys.

Here is a clever sign from a parking garage.

We also got to see some old friends, Alex Clark and Sarah Beringer, really good to see them again.

We dropped Bryan off in Silver Spring first so he could do a recording session with bassists Gary Rouzer and Dan Barbiero. We all met up at the venue, an art gallery called The Pyramid Atlantic, for the show.

The Pyramid Atlantic also has classes in printmaking and bookmaking as well as hosting shows, mostly for improvised music. Our event was a Sonic Circuits event. The guys who put on the show brought lots of things to drink, recorded the music and took photos. Rosemary Krust played first.

Then Bryan and Gary Rouzer did a collaborative set. I thought they worked really well together.

My drummer, Gary, and I played last. The following photos were all taken by Chester Hawkins, check out more nice photos from the show at his page.
