Thursday, Sept. 30. Baltimore, MD. 2640.

The venue in Baltimore was incredible, a huge old church hall with arches and crumbling plaster. There was a thunderstorm, a flood warning and a tornado warning, but we still managed to have a lovely night.

The show was with Rosemary Krust, Other Colors and Holy Ghost Party. The audience sat on old couches, drank tea and looked pale in the spooky light under the vaulted sanctuary ceiling.

Rosemary Krust are from another planet, and we love them. We're all playing together in DC tomorrow, too. It's going to be great. Buy their stuff.

Other Colors played noisy space pop with over-driven organ and lots of harmonies. I enjoyed their set.

Holy Ghost Party was a reverbed-out singer with a bass player and drum track, the singer in a blue poncho, jerkily dancing in a goofy manner. They were very entertaining.

This show marked the end of the first month of the tour. We ended up getting the second hotel room of the trip, where we drank a bottle of wine, watched nature documentaries and had odd dreams.
