Friday, Sept. 24. Burlington, VT. Radio Bean.

We all liked Hudson. The people we stayed with said they got an apartment with an attic just so they could host bands coming through town. Looks like Hudson has great shows these days. Before leaving town, we ate fish tacos tacos at a fancy taco truck called Tortillaville.

We also visited Musica, a big music store full of wonderful things, where we picked up a real slide for Philip.

The drive from Hudson, NY to Burlington, VT was incredible. I managed to take a few photos from the car.

They're building a new bridge into Vermont, so we had to ride a ferry instead, in the sunset.

In Burlington we played at a bar/restaurant called the Radio Bean. It was a pretty place, very black and red, with a bed springs hanging on the wall for a wine rack.

The fun thing about the Burlington show was that I got to meet yet another long-lost relative for the first time (see the Sept. 12 entry). This time it was my (second?) cousin (once-removed?), a relative of my birth father's, Robin.

She was a doll. We took a long walk around Burlington after the show, got some pizza, and stayed up late.
