We stayed with Gabe Beam in
Toledo. He runs a series at his place, The Robinwood Concert House, that booked a lot of the same people we did for the Experimental Issue series at Clawfoot House. Gabe’s house is in a beautiful historic district. We rode bicycles around the neighborhood. Saw this house, which I learned was built by a man who owned an elevator company.
Yard signs.
More cool houses.
We ended up at the
Toledo Art Museum, where we saw some beautiful sculptures, this amazing building designed by Frank Gehry, an exhibit of psychedelic rock posters from the sixties, and the most enormous tire swing ever.
We visited the
Toledo Glass Museum—what a cool place!
Bryan and Gabe did a short recording session
and then we were off to
Columbus, where we were scheduled to play at a place called the Spore Print Infoshop.
We ended up combining our show with a
Defiance Ohio show at a nearby warehouse instead. The acoustic aftershow was with Crawfishes, Time and Temperature and me. Crawfishes were really fun. And Time and Temperature blew me away, Val Glenn, she is amazing!
